RAK

It's Sunday night (well technically it is Monday morning now) so it can only mean one thing.... another Pencil Lines sketch!!! This weeks sketch is lovely and I chose to create a LO for the lovely Jems...
I don't know if there is a law about pinching photos from peoples blogs... but when I saw this one I just wanted to scrap it. Anybody who has seen Jems work will see 3 things... fantastic LOs, heartfelt journaling, and the love between Jems and Barry shining out from the photos. They are just one of those couples who look so damn good together and so in love. So sorry Jems, but it had to be done...

Obviously this LO is a gift... and that is why the journalling stamps have been left empty, for the couple in question to fill in themselves... one each, so make sure you share...LOL!!!

This has brought me to my new self set challenge... to do a RAK for each of my new team members.... 1 a week until you have all been 'done'. Why? because I want to...

New beautifulness *claps hands*

and I didn't have to wait very long to get it, as the postie van came at 8:20am!!!

So what did i get? lush, lush, lush papers by K & Co, Autumn Leaves and Bam Pop, Pizzazzill cardstock, a bag of coloured buttons, and a bag of magic buttons!

Yes... magic buttons... why magic? because they go with everything.... ok, so they're not really magic.... just clear, but how clever is that...LOL!!!

Pencil Lines... better late than never.

Don't know why I am getting later at doing these challenges... maybe something to do with me being a lazy mare and not being bothered to go into the loft to print the photos off...LOL!!!
Any way here is my take on sketch #33. I love the 3 small photos on the 12 x 12 LO, and the fact that I have used pink again!!!
Am expecting some goodies to arrive tomorrow... not going to say what, will keep you in suspense (Rach that means you, he he he), but I am expecting it to be beyond lush!!!

A LO to cheer my sorry self up

Have been feeling a little bit down today for various reasons. Last night Lulu the hamster died... I am a complete wuss when it comes to pets so was in buckets of tears. After vowing 'never again' and a rotten nights sleep due to too much snot, Oliver and I went and bought Rex this morning.... hamster #4!!!

Also yesterday I made the decision to leave my team on UKS. I have struggled with this decision as I have made some of the best friends and have loved getting to know them since December 2005. A few lovely messages from team members left me regretting my decision, and on top of the whole hamster situation more tears followed.... I'm telling you, I'm a woman on the edge!!! maybe some serious stash shopping would help....LOL!!!

So tonight I decided to do a quickie LO of this piccie to cheer myself up. I can't look at this picture without chuckling on the inside, and now I feel much better. I also used new stamps that arrived today and a few stamps that I have been meaning to use since I HAD to have them....

I bought the papers a while ago and thought I would struggle to use them, but tonight thought what the heck and just went for it, and must say I am really liking the end result... maybe I should speed scrap more often!!!

Scrapagogoagain!!!

After a few months of not being a Scrapagogo subscriber, I can stand it no more!!! I resubscribed today after getting yellow box envy at a crop a few weeks ago... can't wait to receive the first kit.... roll on June 15th...LOL!!!

Three birds one stone

Well actually THREE challenges ONE layout!!!

So this is the LO created using rubbish... hmmmmmmm, it smells of chips, lager and chocolate.... It also has no patterned paper on it.... not one scrap!!! Although this isn't actually my LO for the no pp challenge... that is still to be finished!!! AND this LO was created with the word 'GO' from the fab new challenge blog, One Little Word.

Who'd have thought I'd ever scrap a picture of my feet (eeewwwwwww) and more to the point my feet on scales...LOL!!! So why did I scrap this? well you'd think that being a member of WW would mean that you are really good about what you eat.... oh no, that's not how it works at my class!!! it's all about being naughty at the right time... I get weighed on a Tuesday which means I am very naughty on Wednesday and Thursday.... well it is ages until the next weigh in....Friday and Saturday means a few uncounted points slip in here and there.... weigh in day is still a way ahead... Sunday means I have to start counting points, Monday I have fewer points than I am allowed, and on Tuesday I don't eat until after weigh in!!! Madness I know, if I was good all week, surely I would do better... but it is all about playing the game and gambling with the calories...LOL!!!

Household rubbish..

I haven't posted for a while as I have been holding off doing any scrapping, waiting for my DT pack from Crop Til You Drop. Well it arrived yesterday and I have started to have a play... am finding it rather challenging as the products are not what I would usually go for... so am a little bit out of my comfort zone...LOL!!!

A few posts back Jen challenged me *tongue in cheek) to use household rubbish to create a LO and give my stash to her...
Well..... last night I started a LO which does indeed use household rubbish.... but NO, I am not giving my stash away...LOL!!!!

Am going to mum's this afternoon for a couple of nights so won't be around to upload... but will be back on Saturday evening/Sunday morning...

A day of firsts

Today was the first time I went to the Manchester Crop... and the first time I have left both boys with Rob all day. I had a fab time at the crop, although I have a killer sore throat now... too much talking I suspect!!! and when I came home all was calm, and no major mishaps had occurred.
So all was going really well, until I found out that there was no Casualty tonight!!!! OMG, didn't the BBC realise that casualty and wine is the highlight of my week...LOL!!! damn Eurovision!!!
I got these LOs done today. Really pleased with how they both turned out...The one of Niblet is for dare #51... I have done quite a few of the dares over the past year but never posted links on the blog... until now!!! Are you impressed with the fact that I used my new papers so soon., I am!!!!
NEW CHALLENGE!!!
Sam was busy doing a competition LO today where she was not allowed to use any patterned paper. As if that isn't bad enough, stamping and designing your own pp isn't allowed either!
After looking through my albums I realised that all of my LOs use pp, most of them 2 or more designs!!! So that is my next challenge to myself... create a LO without using pp!!! Jen started one whilst at the crop which is going to be yummy when it is finished... but I am feeling a little daunted at the prospect...
I was also given some pre cut chipboard squares to make a jacob's ladder mini book by a lovely lady at the crop (I am so sorry but your name escapes me). I think this will make a lovely brag book for a gift for my mum. It will also be a great way to use up some of the scraps I have.
Better go and be sociable... we are watching a dvd, Rob's choice... click, and whilst it is mildly amusing, I think my choice of The Devil Wears Prada would have been better!!! men eh? what do they know...he he he he

It is such a good job

I don't live near to a real life scrap shop... coz I would be in soooooo much trouble with Natwest bank if I did.

Tonight was Cheadle Hulme crop night and Sam had some goodies with her.... oh my gawd... I simply could have bought everything!!! I was quite restrained really.... but here is a sneaky peak at what I did get.

These papers are GORGEOUS beyond belief... go to Scrapfairies and get some, you need them in your life. And what about the chipboard alphas...yum diddly yum yum. And oh I am loving the buttons in their cute little bag, and let's face it, you can never have enough buttons, especially ones so lush.

Right enough about the shopping... did I get any scrapping done? Yes... I did this LO of the beautiful Harry Bear.

Simple and quick (apart form the handcut title).

I hate my metabolism!!!

Honestly... I only have to think about food and I put weight on, so you can imagine the damage that 2 cans of Stella Artois has done!!!
Sob!!!!

I am so fed up of having to watch everything that I eat and drink.... I swear that one day I will just think s*d it, and become one of those really really really fat people you read about in the tabloids.... you know the ones where they have to take a wall down to get them out of the house when they need to go to hospital. I reckon that if I ate what I wanted when I wanted, I could be one of those people by this time next year!!!

Scrapping doesn't help... typical that my hobby involves me sitting on my arse for hours on end...LOL!!!
Rant over... I WILL get back into the swing of things this week... I have made the promise to Oliver that I won't be the fat mum at the school gates, and I can't break a promise to him.

Did this quickie LO this afternoon... Oliver says he doesn't like it as it has got pink on it and 'pink is for girls'... so I guess this is going in Harry's album then!!!

Happy Birthday Lola Polar!!!

My best friends little girl is 1 today... Happy Birthday beautiful Lola.

Well here I am in the early hours of Monday morning... it can only mean one thing... another Pencil lines sketch!!!!
So here is my take on #31... a quick one this week, nice easy sketch to work with. The pp at the bottom is cut into that shape as it has flourishes on it which can't really be seen on the scan... they are there honestly!!!

Bank holiday Monday... you know what that means... Rob is off work, so I will get a little bit of me time. hhmmmmmm what to do?!?!?!

a) have a lie in

b) have a nice long bath with a good magazine/book

c) have a couple of hours scrapping time

Think I might go for the lie in option... sleep in the morning then I can scrap at night...LOL!!!

I had lots of fun

doing this LO!!! It might not make much sense to everyone else, but in this house it does!!!
Oliver tells me he loves me everyday, and the conversation goes the same way... everyday.

Mummy, I love you
Not as much as I love you
But I love you this big (holding hands far apart)
Well I love you bigger than a big jaffa cake.

Why a big jaffa cake? well if you had a BIG jaffa cake you would love it, a lot, wouldn't you? I know I would, especially if it still had only 1g of fat...LOL!!!
This is probably one of the easiest LOs I have done for ages... two bits of pp, and hand drawn and painted journalling to fill the page. Not a very good scan, as the bottom has gone dark for some reason... how very strange!!!

Friday, 4 May 2007

He he he....

Oliver makes me laugh so much!!! I decided to take a picture of myself today, as you do... held the camera up, click, turned it round to view and this is what I saw....LOL!!!I took over 100 photos in less than 5 minutes... I won't bore you with them all, Rob was bored looking at them all and they are of HIS children...LOL!!!

The best kept secret

Look what I got today.

I always wondered how people got their dotty circles so perfect... now it has all become clear!!!
I feel like I have discovered a secret club..LOL!!!

I also got these stamps from Banana Frog... aren't they fab!!!

Guess what i'll be doing when the boys have gone to bed?
Had a busy night scrapping last night, but the internet was playing up so didn't get chance to upload. This weeks pencil lines sketch was interesting... very 'curvy'! I didn't even attempt it on Sunday evening as it just didn't appeal that much... a bit too perfect and accurate looking.

Not one to be beaten, I sat down last night and had a go... not sure if I am 100% happy with the LO, 75% happy maybe! Showed Oliver this morning and he did his happy T. Rex stomp... so I guess he is Tres Happy with it...LOL!!!

The other LO I am loving.... I have been licking this American Crafts paper for ages and finally took the brave steps to cut it up and stick it down!!! I love the piccie of niblet... he isn't too sure about the bumbo, but on this day I actually managed to get a few pictures of him sat upright and looking happy!!!

Another Harry first... yesterday he held a toy on his own and put it in his mouth to 'chew' on! I am such a proud mummy!!!
I think he is teething as he is dribbling for Britain. I tell you, if it's not bogies it's dribble... and don't even get me started on the nappies now he is being weaned!!!!!
