A day of firsts

Today was the first time I went to the Manchester Crop... and the first time I have left both boys with Rob all day. I had a fab time at the crop, although I have a killer sore throat now... too much talking I suspect!!! and when I came home all was calm, and no major mishaps had occurred.
So all was going really well, until I found out that there was no Casualty tonight!!!! OMG, didn't the BBC realise that casualty and wine is the highlight of my week...LOL!!! damn Eurovision!!!
I got these LOs done today. Really pleased with how they both turned out...The one of Niblet is for dare #51... I have done quite a few of the dares over the past year but never posted links on the blog... until now!!! Are you impressed with the fact that I used my new papers so soon., I am!!!!
NEW CHALLENGE!!!
Sam was busy doing a competition LO today where she was not allowed to use any patterned paper. As if that isn't bad enough, stamping and designing your own pp isn't allowed either!
After looking through my albums I realised that all of my LOs use pp, most of them 2 or more designs!!! So that is my next challenge to myself... create a LO without using pp!!! Jen started one whilst at the crop which is going to be yummy when it is finished... but I am feeling a little daunted at the prospect...
I was also given some pre cut chipboard squares to make a jacob's ladder mini book by a lovely lady at the crop (I am so sorry but your name escapes me). I think this will make a lovely brag book for a gift for my mum. It will also be a great way to use up some of the scraps I have.
Better go and be sociable... we are watching a dvd, Rob's choice... click, and whilst it is mildly amusing, I think my choice of The Devil Wears Prada would have been better!!! men eh? what do they know...he he he he
